Why The Apathy?

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 1Timothy 4:1

I have always wondered why there are many so-called Christians:

Who are not interested in sharing their faith

Who are not focused on last day events and are preparing to meet The Lord

Then the Scripture above was revealed to me. I now understand why...it's been prophesied. Not that it's happening because it's been prophesied, it was prophesied, because God saw it happening. The point is, that it's part of the end-time, end-game scenario.

Those in this category, have their consciences seared (verse 2). They have cherished and compromised so long in sin that they have become conformed to the things of this world. Therefore they cannot discern that they are in this deplorable condition. Yet not all, there are many who are in a Lukewarm condition, that will hear the voice of God and wake up (See Romans 13:11-14;1Corinthians 15:34).

The cure lies in, taking a new look at Jesus and keeping the eyes fixed on Him (2Corinthians 4:6;Hebrews 12:1-3), it means then that we have to take our eyes off the things of this world.

If they just reverse the process, all will be well: give heed to the Holy Spirit & return to the faith. The truth that, God, like the Father in the parable of the prodigal son, does not condemn, nor cast down, should help in the return.

It calls really for discernment (to know the voice of God), for wisdom on how to resist the promptings of Satan. Once you fall back in love with Jesus, there will be a:
